Exciting wildcat news!

The wildcat is one of our rarest and most endangered mammals in the U.K. Once widespread througout the U.K. it currently only lives in small pockets in the Scottish Highlands, feeding on rabbits and ground-nesting birds. They are shy, nocturnal cats, the only member of the cat family left in the U.K. They mate in February and have one litter of two to six kittens in early summer.

Once we started in the business of Warrening, a bounty was put on their heads and the persecution began. Happily we are righting this wrong and in conjunction with some generous donors and the Devon Wildlife Trust, we are on track for a Devon release in 2026!
